DJ Conrad founded Conrad Tactical Defense to bring professional-grade training to everyday people and organizations. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2013 and served on a Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST), finishing his service as an infantry Marine. Since 2018 he has served as a police officer, and for the past three years on a SWAT team. DJ is a law-enforcement firearms instructor, active shooter response instructor, ballistic shield instructor, less-lethal instructor and Field Training Officer. He is also a husband and father, and protecting his own family is what drives how he trains yours. At CTD he brings that same standard to every student: calm, clear, safety-first instruction with zero ego.
